Spicy Green Beans

Ingredients

Equal parts balsamic vinegar and water, approx. ¼ cup each
2-4 cloves garlic, minced
½ medium red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
1 lb green beans, cut into bite-sized lengths
½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes

Directions

In a large skillet over high heat, pour enough vinegar and water to cover the bottom of the pan. Add garlic and onion and sauté until translucent. Turn heat down to medium and add green beans and red pepper flakes and stir. Cover and simmer, adding additional vinegar and water as needed, until green beans are slightly tender.
