Francisco L. Garcia, MD

​Francisco L. Garcia, MD, is board-certified in family medicine and has been a member of Hill Physicians since 1993. He has served as an associate primary care chief for Hill Physicians in the Sacramento region since 2003. Dr. Garcia established his private practice in 1992 in Sacramento. He is currently the president and managing partner of River Bend Medical Associates, a five-physician family practice group with offices in Sacramento and West Sacramento. Dr. Garcia graduated from UC San Diego School of Medicine in 1988 and completed his family practice residency at UCSF-Fresno in 1991. He served as chief resident from 1990 to 1991 and, during that time, also received the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Resident Teacher Award in 1991. He has continued with his interest in medical education by working with medical students, FNP/PA students and family medicine residents. Since 1991, Dr. Garcia has served as an associate clinical professor with UC Davis School of Medicine. Dr. Garcia received the Mercy General Attending of the Year Award in 2014-2015 for his work with the Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Garcia has also served as a board member in various healthcare and community organizations during his career.
