Joshua S. Adler, MD

​​Josh Adler, MD, joined Hill Physicians governance in January of 2010. He is also Chief Medical Officer of UCSF Medical Center and UCSF Children's Hospital, and served seven years as the Medical Director of Ambulatory Care at UCSF. A board-certified, practicing internist and a professor of clinical medicine at UCSF, Josh directs the UCSF Pathways to Discovery Program, which fosters scientific, leadership and advocacy skills among all UCSF trainees. He earned a medical degree at UC San Diego Medical School and completed his residency in internal medicine at UC San Francisco, followed by a year as chief at the SF Veteran Affairs Medical Center. While there he served as Assistant Chief of Medicine, Assistant Chief of Staff and Chief Medical Officer of the Sierra Pacific VA Network.
